It’s a chance to build relationships with other adoptees from all around the world and the freedom to discover with no pressure from the comfort of your bedroom!
Virtual Camp runs over four days with each day bringing new adventures. We know how exhausting screen time can be, so we like to keep our schedule easy and flexible. Online workshops can often be sleepy and exhausting. At Virtual Camp, we try our best to create new and creative ways to learn and connect through workshops that wake you up and challenge you to think outside of the box.
Exciting Guests
One of the best perks of Virtual Camp is the opportunity to meet incredible guests from all around the world who wouldn’t be able to join us otherwise! All of our guests are adoptees themselves who have impacted the community and the world in amazing ways. Listening to their stories and sharing ours with them creates moments not soon forgotten.
Meaningful Conversations
Virtual doesn’t mean less valuable. The conversations at Virtual Camp are some of the most impactful takeaways for campers. From the comfort of our homes, we’re able to learn from and connect with new friends who we would never have the chance to meet otherwise and have conversations we would probably never have in person. Virtual somehow makes the conversations bolder and we’re here for it.

Virtual Camp FAQs
Adopteen operates under a licensed 501c3 non-profit and 100% of any money received goes directly to program development. Your Virtual Camp registration fee helps cover the costs of camp and includes an Adopteen Camp Pack mailed to your doorstep with your camp toolkit, event t-shirt, workshop materials, commemorative merch, and miscellaneous goodies!
Just like our Adopteen Camp-Conferences, our Virtual Camp is planned with a 13+ audience in mind. This 13+ age restriction is simply an indication of the potential conversation topics and materials presented. Please email us if you have any questions regarding this age minimum.
There is no age maximum for Virtual Camp. Last year’s Virtual Camp age range was 13-24, but when we say ALL adoptees ages 13+, we do mean all. We believe that a wide range of ages and experiences helps create the most impactful event and allows for the greatest amount of connection and celebration!
Yes. Adopteen is for everyone. Come one come all!
100 percent yes! The entire goal of our Adopteen events is to build connections. We want everyone to come in as strangers and leave as best friends and we want to reach as many people as we can. That’s why we’re so excited about about Virtual Camp! A virtual camp experience allows more friends from all over the world to get connected! We can’t wait to meet you!
Virtual Camp will be using a combination of Zoom and Discord to create a camp experience unlike any other. Our Committee is excited to push the possibilities of the virtual world to make sure Virtual Camp is one of the largest, most exciting events of the year.
To avoid misuse, all registered campers will receive links to each day’s Zoom at the end of the previous day. All meetings will be password protected and closely monitored to discourage virtual harassment. All breakout sessions will be attended by two leaders and a minimum of 3 campers.
